Sainsbury's Bank Visa Card issued

A new Sainsbury's Bank Visa Card has been launched today, with a special offer of zero per cent interest on purchases for 12 months available until May 31st.

Following this opening one-year period, the annual percentage rate (APR) on the product will revert to the typical purchase level of 15.9 per cent.

The card will have a lifetime rate of 5.94 per cent for balances transferred within the first six months and will not charge a balance transfer fee.

Every time customers use a Sainsbury's Bank Visa Card in one of the chain's stores they will receive Nectar points and a voucher booklet offering discounts for future purchases made.

"We are keen to reward the Sainsbury's shopper with one of the most attractive cards in the marketplace. We remain committed to offering some of the most competitive credit cards available," said Donald Macleod, manager of credit cards at Sainsbury's Bank.

Customers interested in the Sainsbury's Bank Visa Card must pick up a leaflet at a Sainsbury's supermarket before May 31st.
