Legal & General Growth Investment Plan Plus 3 available

A Legal & General Growth Investment Plan Plus 3 has been launched today and will provide 100 per cent of any capital growth in the FTSE 100 index over a six-year term plus capital protection.

An early repayment feature is also included on this offer, meaning that it can close early if the shares index shows strong growth.

In this situation investors will be paid their original investment plus a maturity payment that will be seven per cent above the early payment level.

In the third year the early payment trigger level will be 15 per cent growth in the index, in the fourth year it will be 20 per cent and 25 per cent growth will instigate an early payment in year five.

"The Growth Investment Plan Plus series offers a secure investment for savers who invest for the full term, even if the FTSE100 index falls, as this product is designed to protect their capital at maturity," said Jamie Vale, sales director at Legal & General.

The Legal & General Growth Investment Plan Plus 3 will mature on July 12th 2012.

Investment in the product is available as a Maxi Isa, a Mini stocks and shares Isa, PEP and Isa transfers and direct share investment.
