NatWest Two-Year Fixed-Rate Bond among changes

The NatWest Two-Year Fixed-Rate Bond is among the offers to have received a 0.3 per cent rate increase today, now carrying an annual rate of 4.65 per cent.

Annual interest rates on the Five-Year Fixed-Rate package and growth rates on the Children's Bond option have been increased to 4.75 per cent.

Growth levels on the one and two-year Community Bond have been adjusted to 4.6 and 4.7 per cent respectively.

The Community Bond has a minimum investment of £500, the Children's Bond has a minimum level of £1,000 and the NatWest Two-Year Fixed-Rate Bond and other fixed-rate packages require a minimum investment level of £5,000.

Fixed-rate options offer the choice to receive interest monthly, annually or at the time the package reaches maturity.

Helen Page, marketing director of retail brands for NatWest, said: "We believe that our NatWest savings range suits the varying needs of our customers and for our customers who are looking to put their money away for longer with a guaranteed interest rate, this is a good, competitive option."

The new rates on all of the NatWest savings products will pertain to customers who apply for a bond from May 8th onwards.
