Birmingham Midshires One Year Fixed-Rate Bond launched

A Birmingham Midshires One-Year Fixed-Rate Bond has been made available to the public, with a fixed rate of 5.16 per cent gross per year.

This interest rate is available on balances of £1 and above and can be paid on an annual or monthly basis.

Customers who choose to receive their interest in monthly payments will receive an interest rate of 5.04 per cent gross.

The lender claims that the Birmingham Midshires One-Year Fixed-Rate Bond is currently "unique" in the rate that it offers for a low balance of £1 and claims that the offer is one of the best available on the market.

"We're consistently reacting to the needs of customers in achieving good fixed rates of interest over a year-long period," said Richard Brown, head of savings products at Birmingham Midshires.

"Customers should move quickly to grab this market-leading rate."

Those interested in opening a Birmingham Midshires One-Year Fixed-Rate Bond can do so in one of the company's branches or on its website.
