John Charcol Two-Year Base Rate Tracker mortgage launched

A John Charcol Two-Year Base Rate Tracker mortgage is currently available, with a tracker rate of 0.01 per cent below the base rate.

This gives the mortgage a current rate of 4.49 per cent, with an overall cost for comparison of 6.4 per cent.

According to the lender, this mortgage has been launched as fixed mortgage rates are currently rising and has no early repayment charges at any time.

The product is available at up to 75 per cent loan-to-value for a maximum loan amount of £750,000, calculates interest on a daily basis and does not have any higher lending charges.

Drew Wotherspoon of John Charcol said: "For people needing larger loans this deal really is by far and away the best two-year tracker product on the market.

"It is also worth noting that this product allows you to 'mix and match' so you can retain part of the loan as a tracker and part on a fixed rate if you would prefer some added stability, even at a higher price."

The John Charcol Two-Year Base Rate Tracker mortgage has an arrangement fee of £899 as well as an exclusive booking fee of £75 and an exit fee of £225.
