Rates on Norwich & Peterborough Fixed-Rate Bonds among changes

The interest rates set on Norwich & Peterborough Fixed-Rate Bonds have been increased, the company has announced, as well as the rates on its Loyalty Bonds.

A gross annual rate of 4.9 per cent is now set on the one-year fixed-rate option, with a 5.25 per cent rate on the two year product and rates of 5.15 per cent placed on the three and five year packages.

All of these increases are of 0.15 per cent, except for that on the two-year bond, which is 0.25 per cent.

On the lender's Two-Year Loyalty Bond the rate was adjusted form 5.1 to 5.35 per cent, while the Children's Loyalty Bond now carries a rate of 5.3 per cent compared to the previous level of 5.15 per cent.

Norwich & Peterborough Fixed-Rate Bonds require a minimum investment of £1,000, pay interest monthly, annually or on maturity and allow withdrawals provided at least £1,000 stays in the bond, subject to loss of interest.

The lender's Loyalty Bonds are available to any customer who has held an account for four years or more and require minimum investments of £500 and £1,000 and allow maximum investments of £25,000.
