Saga Financial Services international money transfer service launched

A new international money transfer service for the over 50s has been launched today by Saga Financial Services.

The new service is specifically designed for those who are purchasing property abroad, or who need to transfer large sums of money or who need to transfer money into foreign currency on a regular basis.

SAGA Financial Services is offering no fees on transfers over £3,000 as well as the option of fixing the foreign exchange rate for two years.

According to figures from Saga Financial Services, property ownership abroad has increased by 45 per cent and thousands of pounds could be wasted on foreign currency exchange.

Andrew Goodsell, chief executive of Saga, said: "With more people choosing to retire abroad or simply purchase a holiday home, it's vital they obtain the very best rates and services available to them so they ensure their hard-earned cash is not eaten away in unnecessary fees and commission."

Saga Financial Services money transfer service is designed for customers over 50, Saga also provides travel insurance and holiday home insurance cover.
