Yorkshire Building Society Rollover Bond: Interest rates set

Interest rates have been set at five per cent gross per annum on Yorkshire Building Society Rollover Bonds for the month of June.

Yorkshire Building Society Rollover Bond is a one-year fixed rate savings bond where the interest rate is set on the first day of each month, the set rate is guaranteed to be offered to any saver who opens a bond in that month.

A minimum deposit of £100 is required and the offer is open to both new and existing customers.

The rollover bonds were created five years ago and after the one year term savers can choose to allow it to rollover into a new issue or else have instant access to their money.

Chris Edwards, head of mortgages and savings at the Yorkshire Building Society, said: "The rate is set at the beginning of every month and is always competitive. As funding rates have started to rise we have been able to pass this increase onto our savers."

The Yorkshire Building Society Rollover Bond is now set at five per cent gross, customers can save anywhere between £100 and £500,000 and can make deposits throughout the month that they open the bond.
