Post Office Travel Money Card launched

The Post Office Travel Money Card has been launched today across 2,250 Post Office branches in the UK.

It is hoped that exchanging money into a foreign currency while on holiday abroad should now be made easier with the Post Office Travel money Card.

The new card is said to offer the convenience of plastic, being accepted at over one million ATMs worldwide, while also offering the same level of security as traveller's cheques.

Users will not be charged for topping up their pre-paid foreign currency cards and they are valid for two years.

Kevin McAdam, head of travel and leisure at the Post Office, said: "The Post Office is already the nation's number one when it comes to holiday money and we can now offer customers even more choice on how they spend abroad."

The new Post Office Travel Money Card is now available for travelling abroad - the Post Office also offer travel insurance cover.
