Leeds Building Society Escalator Bond launched

A new Leeds Building Society Escalator Bond has been launched today which has fixed rates for two years.

The new escalator bond from Leeds Building Society promises to pay 4.75 per cent in year one and 5.50 per cent in year two.

Customers can have access to up to 25 per cent of the initial amount invested in the first year of the investment without notice and without any penalty fees being charged.

Additional investments can be made into the bond while it remains open, minimum investments are £5,000 and the most which can be invested is half a million pounds.

Stuart Fearn, product development manager, said: "We are trying to ensure that customers receive a very competitive return and the peace of mind provided by allowing access to some of the funds, without notice or penalty."

Leeds Building Society Escalator Bond is being offered by the eighth biggest building society in the UK offering fixed rates of interest that can be transferred directly into any other account held in the UK.
