Skipton Building Society Insurance range increased

Skipton Building Society Insurance range is to be increased to cover motor, pet and travel insurance, it has been announced today.

Building on its position as a provider of home insurance, Skipton Building Society Insurance will provide the new services through equity insurance brokers.

The new motor insurance deals include a non-stop claims helpline and breakdown cover.

Pet insurance cover can now be provided for up to £5,000, with a free veterinary helpline and those tacking up a travel insurance policy will have access to financial advisors and have treatment cover of up to £25,000.

Steve Aldous, general manager at Skipton, said: "Insurance is all about protecting the things we value and ensuring should something go wrong, we're as well equipped as possible to deal with it. That's why we've expanded Skipton's protection range to include motor, pet and travel insurance, so that our customers can feel safe in all areas of their life."

Skipton Building Society Insurance cover now ranges over a number of different products but the building society already has £8.6 billion worth of assets.
