Yorkshire Building Society Two-Year Fixed-Rate Savings Bond rates rasied

The rates for the Yorkshire Building Society Two-Year Fixed-Rate Savings Bond have been increased, it has been announced today.

Paying 5.1 per cent per annum the Yorkshire Building Society Two-Year Fixed-Rate Savings Bond can now offer customers a better deal.

Both new and existing customers can take advantage of the increased rate with a minimum deposit of £100.

For those who rely on their savings as a form of income a monthly interest option is also available.

Chris Edwards, head of mortgages and savings at the society, said: "Our previous two-year fixed-rate bond proved very popular at 5 per cent, but as funding rates have started to rise we have been able to pass this increase onto our savers providing an even better deal."

Yorkshire Building Society Two-Year Fixed-Rate Savings Bond is being offered by what Mortgage Magazine named as Lender of the Year in its 2005 awards.
