Nationwide Building Society Guaranteed Equity Bond launched

A new five year bond which guarantees to return the original investment with an additional ten per cent is set to be launched by Nationwide Building Society.

The Nationwide Building Society Guaranteed Equity Bond is linked to the growth in the value of the FTSE 100, Nikkei 225 and DJ EuroSTOXX 50 indices and becomes available to customers from July 3rd 2006.

An early investment bonus is on offer with the Nationwide Building Society Guaranteed Equity Bond, if customers invest between 3 July and 26 August 2006 they stand to get 0.55 per cent return on any investment.

Clive Parkinson, managing director of Nationwide Investments, said: "Customers investing in the Guaranteed Equity Bond have the opportunity to benefit from a minimum ten per cent growth over the five year term with the added potential of even greater returns of up to 55 per cent of any growth in the value of the three worldwide indices."

Nationwide Building Society also offers a range of credit card, investment and mortgage products.
