Kennsington Mortgages gets top yachtswoman on-board

Dee Caffari, the record-setting yachtswoman and her team will receive sponsorship form Kennsington Mortgages, it has been announced.

Funding will be given to Ms Caffari by the specialist mortgage provider to help with her sporting activities on dry land and at sea.

The 'sub prime' mortgage sector was created by Kennsington with the aim of providing mortgages to people who become excluded from the borrowing criteria for other, more traditional banks and building societies.

On July 10th 2006 Team Caffari will take part in its first event under the new sponsorship deal in the Big V Sail in aid of the Everyman Male Cancer Campaign.

Alison Hutchinson, managing director at Kensington Mortgages commented: "The company has always led in the specialist mortgage sector, as has Dee in her field. I’ll be watching with interest to see if others can 'keep up with Kensington'."

Founded in 1995, Kensington had lent more than £7.9 billion to over 87,000 thousand customers.
