Our customers are satisfied with the Barclaycard Credit Card, says company spokesperson

Customers are satisfied with their Barclaycard Credit Card it has been claimed, despite last week's report from uSwitch.com which put the company bottom of the customer satisfaction league table.

A spokesperson for Barclaycard has suggested that the implications of the recent report from the comparison and personal finances switching service uSwitch.com are misleading.

Almost half of all Barclaycard Credit Card holders have been with the company for ten years or more, it is claimed.

The company's own research shows 94 per cent of customers considered themselves satisfied with Barclaycard's service.

Barclaycard spokesperson, Anna Williams, said: "At Barclaycard, customer service, along with a competitive product range, is a key factor in our success."

"To continue to improve customer service levels Barclaycard is investing £150m over four years to deliver better, more flexible products, great customer service and responsible lending decisions," she added.

A survey by Moneyfacts recently demonstrated that a third of all savings account, credit card or current account customers have changed their provider because of poor customer service.
