American Express Home Insurance launched

Under the terms of an American Express Home Insurance, policy customers are guaranteed to have property replaced if it is damaged or stolen.
If circumstances arise whereby legal protection is required, American Express will cover the costs of relevant fees up to £50,000.
A legal helpline service is also available and a discounted price is on offer when policies are bought via the internet.
Joanne Field, marketing manager at American Express Insurance Services, commented: "With a large panel of insurers one ‘phone call or visit to our web site can take the hard work out of buying household insurance – we do the shopping around instead of the customer and find them the best quote for their needs."
Last month, American Express also announced the launch of its new motor insurance cover.
