The insurance provider has also announced that Halifax Home Insurance policies that are bought over the phone will cost 15 per cent less.
These bigger discounts are available to all new Halifax Home Insurance customers, but the reductions are only available for a limited period.
Customers who switch to Halifax Home Insurance will save an average £107 on their insurance, the company claims.
The head of marketing and PR at Halifax Home Insurance, David Norton, said: "These discounts are further proof that we are committed to providing excellent value products for our customers."
He added: "We have cut our prices without cutting our cover."
