Coventry Sixty-Plus Notice Account extends offering

Tomorrow will see the addition of the new Coventry Sixty-Plus Notice Account to the building society's savings offerings.

An exclusive offer for those over the age of 60, the Coventry Sixty-Plus Notice Account will offer a variable annual equivalent rate of 5.35 per cent.

Savers will also have the option to receive interest on their Coventry Sixty-Plus Notice Account every month.

This interest rate will remain equal to the base rate until at least the end of next year. It also includes a bonus of 0.6 per cent for the first year from opening the Coventry Sixty-Plus Notice Account.

A minimum of £10,000 is required to open the Coventry Sixty-Plus Notice Account, while unlimited deposits up to £250,000 could be made.

Account holders can withdraw cash with 60 days' notice from the Coventry Sixty-Plus Notice Account without incurring penalties.

The addition of the Coventry Sixty-Plus Notice Account "complements our existing instant access and fixed rate accounts for this age group", says the society's head of sales, Colin Franklin.

"We know that our older generation customers are really keen on this type of account and, for those who have larger balances available and are able to put their money away for longer, this will offer them even more choice," he adds.
