Skipton Pick 'N' Fix Fixed Rate Bond range to be launched

Various new offers will be launched tomorrow as part of the Skipton Pick 'N' Fix Fixed Rate Bond offerings.

The building society says the reaction of funding markets to the recent change in the interest rate has enabled it to launch the "competitively priced" Skipton Pick 'N' Fix Fixed Rate Bond range.

There are three Skipton Pick 'N' Fix Fixed Rate Bond offerings over one-, two- and three years.

The three-year bond pays an interest rate of 5.5 per cent gross a year, while those investing for shorter terms can count on a fixed interest rate of 5.41 and 5.31 per cent respectively.

A monthly income option is available for all investors in the Skipton Pick 'N' Fix Fixed Rate Bond range, but they will receive a lower level of interest than those whose interest payment occurs annually.

"With confusion over where interest rates will be heading in the near future, it is important to us to offer savers a secure investment that can guarantee a great return on their savings," commented the society's chief executive, John Goodfellow.
