Yorkshire Building Society five-year fixed-rate mortgage rate reduced

A reduced rate on the Yorkshire Building Society five-year fixed-rate mortgage has been announced.

From tomorrow, the Yorkshire Building Society five-year fixed-rate mortgage rate will be 5.09 per cent.

This new Yorkshire Building Society five-year fixed-rate mortgage replaces the current one, which has a mortgage rate of 5.14 per cent.

"With the increase in Bank of England base rate last month and the possibility of a further rise before the end of the year, borrowers are looking at longer term fixed rates with renewed interest," comments David Heshon, product development manager of mortgages and savings.

He says the Yorkshire Building Society five-year fixed-rate mortgage offers "good value and peace of mind for what is usually a person's biggest monthly commitment".
