Guaranteed rate with Leeds 2-Year Fixed Rate Postal Bond

Leeds Building Society is guaranteeing an interest rate of 5.6 per cent with its new 2-Year Fixed Rate Postal Bond.

This rate will be available to Leeds customers until October 31st 2008, the building society says.

The Leeds 2-Year Fixed Rate Postal Bond also has a monthly interest option paying a rate of 5.35 per cent for people who require an income.

Stuart Fearn, product development manager at Leeds Building Society, said: "This straightforward postal bond offers customers the best 2-year fixed rate in the market.

"With many customers looking for a guaranteed return, this account provides outstanding value and allows emergency access to funds at any time, subject to the loss of 90 days' interest."

Mr Fearn said the Leeds 2-Year Fixed Rate Postal Bond also compliments the building society's Postal Access Bond, which pays 5.25 per cent fixed until January 31st 2008.

"Customers know exactly what they are getting with both these bonds and can choose the best product to suit their needs," he said.
