New Yorkshire Building Society two-year fixed-rate savings bond launched

The launch of a new Yorkshire Building Society two-year fixed-rate savings bond has been announced by the society.

An opening balance of £1 is needed to open the Yorkshire Building Society two-year fixed-rate savings bond, which will pay a gross annual equivalent rate of 5.3 per cent a year.

Up to £500,000 can be kept in the Yorkshire Building Society two-year fixed-rate savings bond, with monthly interest payments available.

David Heshon, product development manager at Yorkshire Building Society, believes the Yorkshire Building Society two-year fixed-rate savings bond will be "very popular".

"We have a large number of members who want the certainty of knowing that their interest rate will not change during the period of the investment, particularly those who are dependent on this payment on a monthly basis," Mr Heshon explains.

The Yorkshire Building Society two-year fixed-rate savings bond is only available for a limited period.
