Leeds five-year fixed rate mortgage launched

Leeds Building Society has launched a market leading five-year fixed rate mortgage to protect customers against rises in interest rates.

The Leeds five-year fixed rate mortgage has a rate of just 4.99 per cent and allows ten per cent Capital Repayments each year without penalty.

Furthermore, for customers who need help with fees, the building society has launched a fee-free five-year fixed rate mortgage at 5.49 per cent.

Stuart Fearn, product development manager at Leeds, said: "Many customers may look to guarantee their monthly payments and protect themselves against any rise. This 5 year deal contains no higher lending fee and the flexibility of 10 per cent capital repayments each year without penalty.

"We have also created this product with a fee free option to ensure that customers with less funds available for fees can still benefit from all the advantages provided by fixing payments," he added.

The new Leeds five-year fixed rate mortgage is available to the building society's customers now.
