Prudential Home Insurance offers flooding advice

Not only are the highest tides in 20 years predicted between October 7th and 10th, the Met Office has also warned Britons to brace themselves for severe weather in the months to come, prompting Prudential Home Insurance to act.
Prudential has prepared a Preparation Plan that underlines the specific measures customers can take to protect their property.
This includes advising customers to contact the Environment Agency for updates and information, prepare an emergency kit and safeguard valuables and paperwork.
Media relations manager at Prudential Home Insurance Phil Southgate stated: "The recent threat from Hurricane Gordon and the fact that we are approaching the flood season should be enough to encourage homeowners, especially those in areas of heightened flood risk, to check they have flood protection in place and that their insurance is adequate enough."
Prudential Home Insurance offers customers a range of benefits including personal possessions cover, a 24-hour emergency helpline and cover for loss of rent and accommodation should the home become uninhabitable due to flooding.
