Standard Life Bonus Account re-launched

The Standard Life Bonus Account is available for a limited period only and is aimed at UK businesses and charities.

Offering a 5.0 per cent variable rate for six months that switches to 3.90 per cent variable after this period, Standard Life Bank claims that the Bonus Account is a market leader.

Customers can access the Bonus Account online or via telephone as well as in-store and interest is calculated on a daily basis and paid annually.

Head of marketing at Standard Life Bank Andrew Boddie relayed: "Following huge demand for the Business Bonus Account offer, which closed in July, we've decided to re-launch the product and are delighted to be able to offer a market-leading rate."

"The bonus rate is only available for a limited time, so the sooner businesses open an account, the sooner they can take advantage of a market leading bonus rate to make a real and significant boost to their savings," Mr Boddie concluded.

A minimum deposit of £1,000 is needed, while the maximum sum that can be deposited stands at £10 million.

As well as being aimed at a wide range of businesses, the Standard Life Bonus Account offers commission to intermediaries at £150 when an investment of over £200,000 is made.

Standard Life Investments has been named UK Equity Manager of the Year at the Financial News Awards for Excellence in Institutional Asset Management – Europe 2006.
