Friends Provident launches Protected Investment Portfolio Bond

The Friends Provident Protected Investment Portfolio Bond has been launched to provide cautious investors peace of mind.

Investors will gain the benefits of stock market growth as well as the guarantee of either a return of 101 per cent of the bond value or the original investment figure, depending on which is highest, on death.

Other features of the Friends Provident Protected Investment Portfolio Bond include the chance to invest in a range of funds and also the opportunity to invest in socially responsible investments.

Head of wealth management marketing at Friends Provident Christine Foyster explained: "This bond has been designed in response to feedback from many IFAs (independent financial advisors), whose customers are seeking to protect their investment and ensure their families inherit as much as possible when they die."

A total of 14 life funds can be accessed through the Friends Provident Protected Investment Portfolio Bond and customers then have the opportunity to invest in a maximum of ten of these.

Friends Provident is a FTSE 100 life and pensions company and caters for the financial needs of over 2.5 million people.
