Britannia launches two new mortgages

Britannia Building Society is offering customers two new mortgages to add to their existing product range.

The Britannia fixed-rate mortgages are available at a market-leading 4.64 per cent interest rate, which represents a decrease in 40 basis points as the previous rate stood at 5.04 per cent.

Allied to this, the Britannia two-year fixed-rate remortgage product has been introduced, offering an interest rate of 4.94 per cent.

Britannia's managing director of member business Tim Franklin stated: "Both deals give borrowers the security of knowing exactly what their monthly repayments will be for the next two years."

The building society says that the remortgage package can save customers a total of £814 due to all fees being waived. This includes: no arrangement fees, free standard valuation and a free conveyancing service.

Britannia Building Society has over three million members and is currently the second largest building society in the UK behind Nationwide.
