Woolwich rethinks its buy-to-let offerings

The fast track service has been designed to reduce the sometimes time-consuming nature of the paperwork that accompanies sealing a mortgage and a result the bank has made a series of changes.
All Woolwich buy-to-let loans up to the value of £500,000 with a maximum loan to 75 per cent will no longer require a customer's proof of income. Allied to this, a customer will not have to produce a copy of the letting agreement either.
Andy Gray, head of mortgages at the Woolwich, explained: "Our simplified lending policy builds on the changes we made in September to rental calculation. With today's improvements we think we now have a market leading proposition which shows our commitment to this market."
Also, Woolwich has said that customers will not need to collect documentation from second or subsequent applicants.
Woolwich is part of the Barclays Group which has around 25 million customers across the globe and a total of 118,000 employees in over 60 countries.
