Allied to this, a ten per cent discount is to be offered on all single trip policies that are purchased in store and the deal lasts until January 30th.
The offer is not subjected to immediate travel so customers can buy their Tesco Instant Travel Insurance policies in advance of up to 12 months before they decide to take their holiday.
Allan Burns, head of Tesco Travel Insurance, commented: "Whether we are planning to take to slopes on a winter sports holiday or head to sunnier climes and relax by a swimming pool, we all view travel insurance as the necessary and frequently expensive aspect of holidays.
"By using efficient sales routes through Tesco stores we are able to pass on savings to our customers, giving them more cash to spend on holiday."
Tesco Instant Travel Insurance offers single trip travel cover from £8.99 and in excess of one million policies have been sold to its customers since 1997 when the products were first launched.
