American Express Annual European Budget Travel Insurance promotion starts

With more people planning on heading for the sun this summer, American Express Annual European Budget Travel Insurance policy is available at a discount until the end of February.

The American Express Annual European Budget Travel Insurance promotion must end on February 28th and sees the price of individual cover and family cover fall from £52 and £89.99 to £39 and £69, respectively.

A recent survey carried out by American Express found that 2007 will see a 12 per cent increase in the number of weekend breaks being taken as well as a 5 per cent rise in those travelling abroad.

Joanne Field, marketing manager at American Express travel insurance, explained: "For frequent travellers, annual travel insurance is a more economical and convenient choice than buying a separate policy for each trip.

"Those planning a main 14 night holiday and a seven night holiday this year would find that with our current promotion they would save money by opting for annual cover rather than single trip cover."

American Express Budget Annual cover provides customers with insurance of up to £2 million for medical bills, £1 million personal liability and £10,000 for a personal accident among other features.
