N&P long-term fixed-rate mortgages rolled out

Norwich and Peterborough Building Society (N&P) has announced that it will be launching two new long-term mortgage packages.

From March 2nd, the group will be rolling out the N&P 15-year fixed-rate mortgage as well as a similar package for 20 years.

The mortgages will have respective interest rates of 5.48 and 5.28 per cent, with both possessing loan-to-value (LTVs) of up to 90 per cent.

For a £399 reservation fee, both packages also allow for free valuations and free legal fees or £200 cashback.

Richard Barker, product manager for the group, advised that consumers take on an N&P long-term fixed-rate mortgage to negate the possibility of further interest rate rises.

"In addition, as our mortgages have flexible features and are portable to another property if customers move house, people don't have to worry about changes in their personal situation over the term of the mortgage," he said.
