American Express travel cover 'improved'

American Express is championing the travel services available on its platinum charge card, which have been available since April 2006.

Presently, the American Express travel insurance deal incorporates a number of different facets, including medical coverage up to £2 million, personal liability of up to £1 million and travel insurance coverage up to £750 per person, among others.

The card is also extensive in its remit, with the American Express travel insurance package covering up to 20 people.

This includes the card member, their partner, children up to 25, as well as up to four supplementary card members.

Costing just £300, the group's platinum charge card offers a range of benefits, including unlimited access to more than 500 airport lounges around the world.
