Friends Provident Isas 'praised'

Friends Provident is extolling the virtues of Isas to British customers and encouraging consumers to invest in one of the group's products.

The Friends Provident Isa enables consumers to invest £4,000 in a mini Isa, while between £4,000 and £7,000 can be ploughed into a maxi Isa.

UK residents between the age of 18 and 89 can also invest in one of 80 of the group's funds.

Christine Foyster, head of wealth management marketing at Friends Provident, said that a number of Britons currently possess an Isa "blind spot".

"Using the Isa allowance is easy, with a range of options. Not having one means customers are not making the most of the tax allowance," she said.

In order to open the eyes of consumers to Isas, Friends Provident has created a list providing five key points of information about them.

Conscientious consumers can choose to invest ethically, they can invest up to £7,000 in the tax-free savings and maxi or mini Isas can also be chosen from.
