Alliance Trust online investment service 'accessible'

Alliance Trust hopes its new online investment service will make dealing with holdings "convenient, timely and cost-effective".

Launched today, the online service allows investors to view and trade their holdings across Isa, Pep and Sipp plans simultaneously.

Customers have the luxury of being able to trade across approximately 3,000 investment choices at any time of the day or night, with equities, gilts and investment trusts being available to trade at £12.50.

Alliance Trust's online investment service is also enabling customers to make a second trade free, as long as they do so before April 30th.

Claudia Phillips, managing director of investment dealing at Alliance Trust, said: "Our service puts investors in full control of their portfolio with new tools built to suit the way people trade."

"This is a well-designed online trading system backed by a company with years of experience in offering secure, reliable trading with tried-and-tested customer service. And, because you only pay for what you trade, it can give you outstanding value for money," she added.
