Nationwide Building Society has changed the rates on its personal loans, which will come into effect on Thursday March 15th.

For consumers looking to borrow between £1,000 and £2,999 a rate of 15.4 per cent will now apply, compared to a 13.9 per cent rate for loans between £3,000 and £4,999.

For loans between £5,000 and £7,499 an 8.9 per cent interest rate will apply, while for loans between £7,500 and £25,000, a 7.9 per cent interest rate is offered.

While customers have the ability to take out any amount between £1,000 and £25,000, a flexible repayment period of between one and seven years applies.

There are also no arrangement fees or upfront charges on Nationwide personal loans.
