Barclays Isa rolled out

Barclays has rolled out the best "no catches Isa to hit the high street this year", according to the group's product director Andrew Jones.

Possessing an interest rate of 6.50 per cent, the Barclays Isa allows for investments of between £1 and £3,000.

An introductory bonus rate of one per cent is also available for the first 12 months of the product.

Though transfers from existing cash Isas are not allowed, the new Barclays Isa is easy to manage and can be obtained online, by phone or in a Barclays branch.

Mr Jones said: "We believe that this Isa offers the best Isa rate to the greatest number of people on the market."

Barclays has also launched a new savings builder account, perfect for those people who are saving for a purpose but would like a monthly income and occasional access to their savings.
