Britannia Isa "fantastic"

The new Britannia Isa has been described as a "fantastic product with a fantastic rate", by the group's managing director of member business, Tim Franklin.

The mini-cash product possesses a fixed-rate of 5.85 per cent for those customers prepared to invest £3,000 in it.

Customers who are savvy enough to invest in the Britannia Isa before April 5th will also have the opportunity to invest next year's allowance into the account.

Consumers also do not have to be linked to any other Britannia account to benefit from the advantages in the Isa and can transfer their funds with ease from other organisations.

While interest is paid annually on the Britannia Isa, when the account matures on April 6th 2008 the account will transfer to Britannia's variable instant access Mini Cash Isa.
