Leeds Building Society bond rolled out

Leeds Building Society has launched the second issue of its attractive unlimited access bond.

The extremely flexible package, offering full instant access to all funds without penalty, will pay 5.80 per cent interest at a fixed rate until October 1st 2008.

For people who are looking to gain returns on a monthly basis, the Leeds instant access bond pays a 5.38 per cent rate.

While the maximum amount which can be invested into the Leeds bond is £250,000, additional investments are also allowed while the bond remains open.

"It is the only account that provides a guaranteed market leading return combined with easy access, as well as a monthly interest option and I would suggest customers act quickly to avoid disappointment," said Karen Wint, head of marketing at the group.

The initial Leeds bond was launched in December and Ms Wint said she was "delighted" the group had secured enough funding to roll out an improved tranche.
