Abbey Isa 'available to financial year end'

Abbey is giving its customers as much time as possible to set up their own tax-free savings vehicle before the financial year ends.

The group will be keeping some 41 stores open around the country on April 5th to ensure that savvy consumers can set up their own Abbey Isa.

Branches in Southampton, Newcastle, Liverpool, London and Edinburgh among others, will be offering appointments after 17:00 BST and will be staying open as long as there is demand.

Reza Attar-Zadeh, Head of Savings at Abbey, said there had been "exceptional demand" for both its Abbey Isa products this year.

"Accordingly, we are opening a number of branches late for savers who may have left their applications until the last minute. We would always advise savers to fully use their Isa tax-free allowance to minimise their potential tax bill," he added.

Customers interested in applying for an Abbey Isa can visit their local branch, telephone the customer sales line or visit the group online.
