LV= protection range 'enhanced'

LV= has extended the remit of its critical illness cover package by incorporating a number of different conditions.

Customers taking up the LV= critical illness package will now be covered if they suffer from aplastic anaemia, cardiomyopathy, liver failure, progressive supranuclear palsy and sever lung disease.

The LV= package is also reducing its premium rates across most of its terms by an average of 3.8 per cent, and by over two fifths in some cases.

Stuart Tragheim, director of intermediary business at the group, announced that LV= is committed to "continually reviewing and enhancing our protection range".

He added: "By adding five new conditions, over and above those which comply with the new guidelines, advisers can offer individuals and families greater peace of mind that they will be financially covered against life-changing events."

LV='s mini flexible protection plan now offers financial cover for 30 serious illnesses and conditions.
