Leeds account an "attractive proposition"

Customers need only invest £20 to enjoy the full benefits of a Leeds Building Society regular saving account.

Paying at a competitive rate of 5.40 per cent, the Leeds account is highly flexible, allowing customers one withdrawal every year in case of an emergency.

The Leeds account also has no fixed term, so that £1,000 per month can be saved in a calendar year.

According to Karen Wint, head of marketing and PR at Leeds, the majority of savings accounts only enable consumers to invest a maximum of £500 each month.

Ms Wint described the Leeds account as being an "attractive proposition", with there being no requirement to purchase into additional products.

Customers can get their hands on the package at one of the society's 70 branches in the UK.
