Sainsbury's Bank: Car seat care 'crucial'

With some 460,000 people claiming to have been in an accident while they are taking their children to school, Sainsbury's Bank is urging consumers to take out a comprehensive policy.

Sainsbury's Bank car insurance policies ensure that new-for-old child car seats will be replaced in the event of an accident.

The feature could be extremely beneficial, with almost a quarter of parents taking their children on daily school runs not being aware of the legal requirements for securing car seats or boosters.

Steve Johnson, head of car insurance at Sainsbury's Bank, said: "As parents, we need to treat every journey in the same manner regardless of the length or familiarity of the journey and take extra care to make sure the seats and boosters are correctly positioned and fastened."

Those people considering taking up a Sainsbury's Bank car insurance policy could save up to £140 and benefit from a wide range of cover and benefits.
