Tesco insurance offer 'supports parents'

People who take on a Tesco insurance package before June 19th this year will receive free cover for their child for the first year of the term.

The deal applies to the group's premium and core policies and is also applicable for children under 18.

Jeremy Sutton, head of Tesco Health Insurance, said: "Our product has opened up the market to people who want health insurance that offers simplicity and value for money.

"This offer makes Tesco health insurance even more affordable, no matter how many children you have," he added.

The product has the benefit of applying to families of all types of composition, including single parent families, however the incentive cannot be used on any other packages.

Launched in 1997, Tesco Personal Finance now has in its care over five million accounts.
