Lloyds TSB Insurance provides cover on renewable energy devices

The group provides free cover on wind turbines, solar panels and ground source heating pumps installed in homes.
With a Lloyds TSB insurance package, such energy-saving devices may be added at no extra cost to the consumer.
And with the group suggesting that a wind turbine could cost up to £25,000, the 1.3 million people who are expected to have installed a renewable energy appliance by 2020 are being advised to ensure they have a comprehensive insurance package.
Phil Loney, managing director of the group, said that "it doesn't have to cost you the earth to keep your green appliance safe; it can be added at no extra cost to a Lloyds TSB buildings insurance policy".
