Lloyds TSB insurance packages counters 'threat of vandalism'

A study carried out by Lloyds TSB insurance indicates that vandalism has risen by 11 per cent in the past 12 months.
The ransacking of homes is most widely experienced in the community, with 41 per cent of damage being carried out on properties.
Other damage caused includes smashed windows and garden ornaments, while damage to fences or walls is also not uncommon.
Arson has also been experienced in a very small number of cases (two per cent).
Phil Loney, managing director of Lloyds TSB Insurance, said the group's research "backs up today's crime survey figures which show that vandalism is a problem on the rise".
He added: "Insurance is vital in this equation and home owners can't afford to cut back on their cover".
Lloyds TSB insurance packages comprise attractive benefits such as a 30 per cent no claims discount as well as optional full accidental damage cover.
