Financial providers 'enhance' credit card deals

Mint, NatWest and the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) have implemented a number of changes on credit card deals.

From today, a NatWest credit card will be providing customers with the chance to take advantage of 13 months of interest free on balance transfers and three months interest free on purchases.

A typical APR of 13.9 per cent is being offered, with the group's current account holders having the chance to benefit from an interest rate of 12.9 per cent.

Customers considering signing up to an RBS card will also be able to receive such offers.

Financial services company Mint will also be offering new credit card customers zero per cent on balance transfers until August 1st 2008 and zero per cent on purchases until January 1st 2008.

The new deals are believed to make the RBS cards some of the most competitive on the market.
