Released in conjunction with two new dental insurance products, the plan is free for 12 months, offering £1,000 worth of protection for up to four accidents and up to £250 towards each accident's cost.
The new products are Tesco Dental Insurance Core Cover, which will insure against all NHS appointments and provide worldwide cover, and Tesco Dental Insurance Premium Cover, which has the added benefits of £200 towards maintenance and up to £2,000 for general treatments.
"Only a small number of organizations currently offer dental insurance", said Jeremy Sutton, head of Tesco Health and Dental Insurance
"Our approach will open up the market to people who want the choice that dental insurance offers. We aim to offer products that are simple, good value and easy to buy."
Last week, Legal & General reminded the customers of its critical illness insurance product to be honest when making a claim.
