Tesco Clubcard offer to new account holders

Customers opening an Instant Access account with Tesco in the next few weeks will be able to benefit from a special Clubcard offer.

The offer is available to people who open an account before October 16th. Tesco will grant 500 Clubcard points to account holders who reach a balance of £1,000 or more before October 31st 2007 and a further 500 points if the account remains over £1.000 on April 30th 2008.

Head of Tesco Savings Jeremy Sutton said that the success of the original offer persuaded them to extend the deadline.

"By rewarding new customers with 1000 Clubcard points for choosing Tesco they can have £10 off their shopping bill or £40 to spend on Tesco Clubcard deals," he said.

The Instant Access account has an AER of up to 5.75 per cent per year.

Tesco is also offering a £100 discount on any Tom Tom sat nav system to customers who take out an online car insurance policy before September 18th.
