Nationwide savings account with 'lifetime guarantee'

Following the end of the initial year, the Nationwide savings account provides guaranteed links to the Bank of England base rate, as well as six penalty-free withdrawals per financial year.
The minimum deposit is £1,000 to start the Nationwide savings account and the maximum balance is £2 million.
There is also the option of receiving interest on an annual, monthly or deferred basis.
Carl Gandy, managing director of Nationwide International, said the savings account is aimed at those who "lead busy lives".
"We believe most people want a consistent good rate of interest and with the Lifetime Guarantee account savers can enjoy just that," he added.
At the end of December, Nationwide announced a range of new savings rates, following the recent interest rate cut.
