The offer is open to Tesco Clubcard holders and will run until February 6th. It applies to Hotpoint goods bought through the Tesco Direct home delivery service.
Allan Burns, head of Tesco Home Insurance, said: "We are delighted to offer this deal to our customers which will help save money on household items."
Tesco Home Insurance offers a number of key benefits, including cover for purchased data such as music and video stored on MP3 players.
Customers are given a 30 per cent discount on their policy in their first year when they buy over the phone, or 35 per cent if they purchase over the internet. Tesco Car Insurance customers get a further discount.
Last month Tesco offered new customers 50 per cent off their first year's premium for building and contents insurance.
